Wow! Have I been slack in posting on this blog or what? However, I haven't been slack with my weight loss.
I am now on week 21 of my Weight Watchers Journey and have lost 15kg exactly!! Very very happy with my progress so far but have about 18kg to get to my goal weight.

I realise that this is going to take me probably another year to do.

People are really starting to notice the difference in how I look, funny the comments you get, a lot of people say `don't get too skinny' as if! I am trying to ignore these comments as I know that I have 18kg to go!

On the upside I feel great, a lot less tired and more energy to do the things I want to do, instead of going to work and being exhausted at the end of the day.

Will post here much more often and I need to keep inspired everyday. Will try and post some current photos.

Week 10 Weight Watchers

Good Morning
Today is my 5 month anniversary of quitting smoking. I must say that at first people kept asking me if I felt better and the answer was firm no, but now 5 months later, I do feel much better, it is probably a combination of not smoking, eating healthy and exercising and loosing weight.

Just wanted to record that I had my 10th straight week of weight loss. this week I lost .7kg and so this takes my total weight loss to date of 8.3 kg. As I still have a long way to go I am not going to get too excited but every week that is a loss is another step towards my goal.

Sadly I haven't done any exercise as I was sick with both ears infected but will be getting back to it tonight.

I am having my first ever personal training sessions on Sunday morning. A very kind co worker who is a part time PT is going to help me out, so I thank Joelene for the her support!

Am glad to report that I am now fitting into some of my clothes that have been in the back of the wardrobe for over two years. When I was going through the wardrobe I found a book of measurements and weights that were done through a health program at work and I have 3.6 kg to go till I get down to the weight I was in November 2007.

Well that's all for today, thanks for the support!

A New Start - 2009

Hi
On 31 December 2008 I made a New Year's resolution to change my life. Being 51 years old, I have hated how I looked for about 45 years so this year I decided to finally do something about it. My health was also suffering, I had been to the doctor and my cholesterol level was 6.5 and she wanted me to go on medication.

So this was it, on New Years Day I watched my good friend Kaz compete in a 5km Fun Run on the beach. Watching Kaz jogging along the beach looking so fit, healthy and thin inspired me and I decided to take up jogging. Well what a joke I couldn't run 10 steps, being overweight, a smoker and having a hip replacement meant I just couldn't do it. Instead of being discouraged and heading to the pantry, I decided that before I could jog I would have to loose at least 10kg and give up smoking! What to do first, well I started trying to eat healthier and give up the smokes.

It took me until the 11 June 2009 to convince my husband that we should stop smoking and now almost 5 months later I am a non smoker. Unfortunately I also gained more weight!

On the 31st August 2009, I though enough is enough and realised I couldn't do this alone so I joined Weight Watchers and have now been a member for 10 weeks and have lost 7.6 kg so far.

Along the way I have made some new friends online through the WW site and also at the meeting I have met Kerry and Jen, we joined on the same night and always stay for the meetings together.

Now I have decided to go public with my journey, I haven't ever blogged before and am new to this part of the Internet.

Please join me on my journey!

Jen
